Buy BULK, separate & SAVE

When meats are on special, we buy bulk or at least a kilo or two of meat so we can utilise the savings. Living on one wage means making the most of the bargains offered.

Once home, I immediately separate into meal sizes and label before freezing.
I make a mix of sizes varying from 300-600 grams per bag. This way I can just pull out the bag as required.

When separating chicken, I write "breasts" or "thighs" on the bag so I know which one's which, as often when frozen it can be difficult to tell.
