Dont waste your liquid leftovers

When I have left over liquids, I freeze them into ice cube trays for another time. Often I only need half to 3/4 of the container in which I have opened and I really dislike wasting good food, especially when it can come in handy later. The two foods I will always freeze the leftovers from are:
  • Stock - when you are cooking casseroles, you can grab a couple out of the freezer and add for that extra taste
  • Smoothies - I always seem to make too much smoothie, so I freeze the extra into ice cubes and then use these as ice blocks on a hot day or put into plastic icy-pole holders, so our whole family can eat them as frozen fruit treats.
