Teach your kids to DRAW A DUCKLING

Use this as a fun learning activity to teach your child about ducks.
  1. Where do ducks live?
  2. What noise do they make?
  3. When they are born what do they look like?
  4. What do their feathers feel like?
  5. How do they feed when they are born?
  6. Can they walk as soon as they are born?
  7. Do they sleep in the water or on land?
  • Look up about ducks before starting this to find out the basic information about ducks and ducklings and make this a fun game to teach your child all about the life of a duck.
  • You can also make a ducks pond using a shoe box and get some blue tissue paper as the water and make little ducklings to stick around the box. Make some lily pads from green paper or material.
You will need:
  • Paper
  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Coloured pencils, textas
Copy the pictures.... start with simple shapes, a circle for the head and then for the body follow the shape drawn below with a skinny neck, round stomach and a pointed tail. The head needs to be nearly a similar size to the body as ducklings have big heads. Then continue to add on as you go.

You can make lots of animals and creatures found around and in a pond.

Draw a large mummy duck and lots of ducklings.
