BEST PLAY DOUGH RECIPE ever

So when you buy "cream of tartar" there is a recipe on the side on the container, but you have to make play dough on the stove top...... MAKE IT EASIER by following the same ingredients
  • 2 cups of plain flour
  • 4 tblsn of cream of tartar
  • 2 tblsn of cooking oil
  • 1 cup of salt
  • food colouring of your choice
but instead of adding cool water to a saucepan, put:
  • 2 cups of boiled water from kettle
Then mix all ingredients in a large cooking bowl and stir until beginning to combine... then you can get your hands in and bring it all together into a compact playdough ball.
If you find it too wet, add a little more flour until its perfect or if too dry, add a touch of water until the right consistency.
Keep in an airtight container or firmly wrap in cling wrap (if hot weather, you can keep in the fridge). Our playdough lasts about a month, less if played with daily, more if barely used and a lot less when eaten by the kids.

# The picture of the 5 coloured balls is the one batch as described above. I just put the food colouring in after I separated the playdough batch into 5 separate piles.
